While Ramadan has drawn to a close, the sacred month of Dhul - Hijjah has bestowed upon us another opportunity for immense rewards through the act of sacrificing what we hold dear for the sake of Allah (swt).

Qurbani represents our ultimate sacrifice - a solemn pledge that all we possess belongs to Allah and that we surrender ourselves completely to His will.

As Eid approaches, we prepare to emulate the noble example of Prophet Ibrahim (as), who, upon Allah's command, was willing to offer what was most beloved to him. This year, by participating in Qurbani, you're making a profound sacrifice that will reverberate throughout the Ummah.

"It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him."

When you donate a Qurbani through Middlesbrough Central Masjid, the meat will be distributed to those facing the greatest need, providing sustenance during Eid al-Adha and beyond, and offering solace in times of hardship. Meanwhile, the essence of your sacrifice will ascend to Allah, so we implore you to offer a Qurbani commensurate with this esteemed status, according to your means.

We also encourage you to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet by offering an additional Qurbani on behalf of those in the Muslim community who are unable to do so themselves.
